Day Three
Sorry I'm late posting but yesterday I woke up with little to NO pain, it felt pretty good. I got ready early to go to my Dr's appt at 9:30am. Waited at the dr's office we waited for about 30mins (shocking usually it's an hour wait) I was seen by one of his assistants who took off my bandages, and I was able to see my knee for the first time. I was surprised cause the swelling wasn't that bad, but I have a big blister towards the bottom of my knee. pics to come.... The assistant made me extend my leg as far as I could. I wasn't able to extend it fully, but I was surprised I could extend it at all. I was told later on by the dr that I am not to stand on my leg at all for the next 4 weeks. Another assistant came and removed my stitches and cleaned up around where the bandages were. I am able to take a shower now, but not bathe or soak my knee. They sent me home with letters to my job that I would be out on light duty for 4 weeks without standing, so I called Delta and they said sorry we don't have any light duty without standing so I'll be off from work for the next 4 weeks. They also gave me a referral to start physical therapy which starts today. After all that we went to Subway me and my wife. I feel that I am gonna be gaining a few pounds within the next few weeks. I feel like all I do is lay around, and eat! My wife dropped me off at my moms house while she went to work for a few hours. I didn't wanna stay at home alone, I couldn't handle it anymore. At my moms I played XBOX, watched cable t.v, ate some tongan food, life was great at my moms! All the while awaiting for the big game East vs Highland which later on I was very very very disappointed. The Leopards got ramified by the RAMS! Went next door to the neighbors house chilled over there for a few hours talking and socializing with Lani, Chris, and Toa while they were mixing the kava roots. I didn't come home from the neighbors til a lil after 1am. Pain level = 3
